Greater Manchester Construction Training Ltd was formed in 2015 to support the construction industry with training & competent health and safety advice for arange of clients.

GMCT specialise in the construction, civil engineering and demolition industry nationally, providing training for all staff and subcontractors from operative to senior management offering non accredited, accredited, vocational and apprenticeship courses, including CPCS training and testing for many categories of plant.

Reset Certification Scheme

Here at Bamford Contract Services we take Health and Safety seriously and we strive to comply with all current HSE and CDM legislation; for these reasons we have chosen to participate in Reset Certification Scheme.

We are a Company member of Reset Certification Scheme and we are in the process of registering our labour force as Reset Individual Cardholders.

Reset Company

Reset Company provides a quick and simple way to carry out full pre-qualification procedures online and then provides continual monitoring of our company status.

Reset Company notifies both us and our clients when anything approaches expiry or expires. This ensures that everything in our organisation is monitored, tracked and notified, from our insurances to our health and safety statement, making it easy for us to keep everything current and up to date. This assists in our company administration and assists us in ISO and accreditation body compliance.

Reset Individual

Reset helps us to comply with HSE and CDM law by ensuring that our employees are competent and qualified for their roles. More importantly, Reset allows the Client (by simply registering with Reset) to check, totally free of charge, any of our cardholders, and verify their qualifications and competences.

When you check our employees you can view their individual profiles, see the status of all competences and view verified original copies of each and every certificate on screen. To check an individual on Reset typically takes around a minute.

Reports can be generated by the client or provided by us at any time, and an App for smartphone allows checking anywhere on site or wherever our employees may be working.

Reset automatically notifies both us and our employees well before anything should expire and it effectively provides a training tracker, ensuring that our individuals’ competences are kept up to date. It also assists us in managing PPE, DBS (formally CRB) and driving license checks.

Reset is a competence management system that benefits and reassures both us and our clients that we are doing everything that is reasonably practicable when it comes to competence management.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme

CSCS, CPCS & OTHER CARD SCHEMES

We carry out online checks on CSCS, CPCS & OTHER CARD SCHEMES for all our Construction Trades and Labourers. Help your workers stay qualified, competent and safe.

For workers, a card scheme allows you to prove that you can do your job, and that you can do it safely.

Almost all of our Construction Clients require that all site operatives, whether directly employed or provided by Bamford, are CSCS certified.

In a nutshell, no card means no job in many cases.

If you have a lapsed card or need to apply for your first one, Bamford can help guide you towards an appropriate registered training provider. In some cases the training may be subsidised.

About CSCS

Set up in the 90s, the scheme keeps a database of those working in construction that achieve (or can demonstrate they have already attained) an agreed level of occupational competence. Successful applicants are issued with a card giving them a means of identification and proof of their achievements.

Today there are over 1.7 million cards in circulation, and they’re increasingly demanded as evidence of occupational competence by many, including contractors, public and private clients.

CITB administers the scheme under contract.

Cards cost £30 and the Health, Safety & Environment Test is £17.50.

You can apply for a card directly or through your employer, however there are organisations who offer application services. If you are being charged more, check you understand what additional services you will receive from these organisations.
